Trump’s Education Secretary gets eaten alive in brutal, TRAINWRECK ’60 Minutes’ interview

US Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has been one of most mocked and criticized members of President Trump’s Cabinet – not an easy milestone to achieve in this administration.

One of her flagship policies is to promote “school choice”, a model in which parents are offered different private options that compete along with the traditional location-based public school.

To achieve this, DeVos, – who according to Forbes has a net worth of around 1.3 billion – wants to defund public schools in favour of pushing that money towards private ones.

When questioned by 60 Minutes reporter Lesley Stahl about the ineffectiveness of such a model, especially in DeVos home state Michigan, the Secretary of Education starred a pretty embarrassing TV moment.

Her incapability to support her own policy was so painful to watch, that even White House officials expressed their concern, and the White House Press Secretary had to brush away many questions regarding DeVos performance during this Monday’s briefing.
