Aussie art student kills it with his final project… with embroidery

Artist Elliot Schultz had to come up with a graduating project while studying at the Australian National University, and presented something we definitely don’t see everyday: zoetropes.

A zoetrope is a pre-film animation device that was used back in the early 1800s. In Schultz’s project, he embroidered 10-inch discs and then placed them onto turntables with strobe lights for a mesmerizing animation effect.
