Aussie seascapes have never looked so dreamy
“Gasbombgirl” is the moniker of Western Australian artist Sandy Gaskett, who creates vivid abstract art.
Seascapes are her passion, depicting crashing waves and beachgoers dotting the sand on the threshold of the Indian Ocean.
Gaskett often uses cool blues, pinks and other bright colours in her work for a happy, carefree piece.
Her work is inspired by her close relationship with the ocean, which has featured so prominently in her life. From childhood family trips to the small seaside town of Lancelin to establishing a surf club in the 1980s, these experiences have spilled into her current art.
