Dennis Rodman breaks down in tears discussing Trump-Kim summit
During the historic meeting that was happening in Singapore between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-Un, CNN interviewed one of the few people alive to have met both of them in person – former NBA star Dennis Rodman.
Rodman first arrived at North Korea in 2013 to host exhibition basketball matches, where he promptly met the North Korean leader and declared him a ‘friend for life’, and got along by considering their shared love of basketball.
However, his newfound friendship with the dictator sparked controversy, having petitions placed against him and death threats being sent daily.
Sporting a Make America Great again hat, Rodman burst into tears recalling this experience and everything it took to bring the US and North Korea to the same table.
