Jimmy Kimmel asked people to name ANY book and oh god the STRUGGLE…
Jimmy Kimmel went to the streets of Los Angeles asking passersby to name the title of just ONE single book, and well. Can you guess how that went?
The Pew Research Center recently published some data that’s honestly not very flattering for the US. According to the study, 24 per cent of American adults haven’t read any books in the past 12 months.
Data indicates older Americans are slightly more likely to not read than their younger counterparts. Almost 28 per cent of adults ages 50 and older have not read a book in the past year, compared to 20 per cent of adults under 50.
Not surprisingly, the demographic traits that identify non-book readers often fit those Americans who have never set foot in a library. Adults earning less than $30,000 per year are the most likely to claim they have never been to a public library.
